The time is drawing close for Clinton supporters to realize that their candidate has no chance of winning the nomination. She will win Pennsylvania, of that I am sure but I don’t believe she will win by any significant margin as some people might suggest. In honor of Google’s new quote function, I have decided to extract some of the more interesting Clinton quotes and give my views of what she was really thinking at the time.
She said last week that she knows, “what it means to get knocked down, but I’ve never stayed down.” - 13 April 2008 (Fox News)
What she was really thinking: “I am the living undead, once I win, you will all become Clinton Zombies!”
“I don’t pretend to even believe that I know the answers to a lot of these questions,” Clinton said. - 18 April 2008 (Owen Sound Sun Times)
What she was really thinking: “If you only knew how little I knew, most of my policies were extracted from Senator Obama’s website and modified for the sake of brevity….shhhh….don’t tell anyone”
Clinton dismissively said: “I don’t think [Obama] really gets it that people are looking for a president who stands up for you and not looks down on you.” - 17 April 2008 (Los Angeles Times)
What she was really thinking: “I will stand up for you all the way to the bank while I spend your money making corrections to the White House after those damn Republicans got in and ruined the place.”
“I know he spent all day yesterday complaining about the hard questions he was asked,” Clinton said. “Being asked tough questions in a debate is nothing like the pressures you face inside the White House.” - 18 April 2008 (Washington Post)
What she was really thinking: “The same pressures I felt when I had to do all the decorating, cleaning and ordering people about …”
“I just heard that my opponent has put out an ad attacking my health care plan, which is kind of curious because my plan covers everybody, and his leaves out 15 million people, just leaves them out in the cold,” Clinton said at a campaign rally in York, Pennsylvania - 20 April 2008 (CNN)
What she was really thinking: “Oh man…. I am in trouble now… Where is Bill when you need him.”
Google just makes this far too easy though looking back at what I wrote, I don’t think I have the best sense of humor. In all seriousness, I hope the PA voters will think about where they want the USA to go by the time Tuesday rolls around so that the best candidate can face off against Senator McCain come the general election. Lastly a request to Senator Clinton, please stop destroying the Democratic Party and focus on the Republicans.
