The Politics Of PA

Well Its night time over here in Ireland and I am just about to go to bed but I thought I would make an effort to try to convince the few people that might stumble over this blog to vote for Senator Obama in the Pennsylvania primary tomorrow. I started this blog in part because in the last election I was so disappointed that President Bush had been reelected and that same year when I traveled to Europe, I had to listen to everyone I knew tell me that the American people were warmongers, stupid or the cause of all the worlds problems.

I know that is far from the truth because in my mind and since the earliest days that I can remember, I have loved the United States for its role in the world and the good and bad things it  has done. With the last administration, this country had lost its course, as conservative ideologies have been pushed this country backwards into history as opposed to propelling it into the future. Voters of PA, you cannot look at the past when deciding who to vote for, you have to look towards the future of where you want America to be. I am currently leading Madeline Albright’s book “A Memo to the President Elect”, and one of the key things she says in there is that the next President needs to have a mix of idealism and pragmatism. This is what Senator Obama has, and he is the best choice for the next President.

Lastly I will support Senator Obama all the way from Ireland and spend my time writing this blog on nights when I could be doing other things because I am a person who believes in Hope. I believe in the betterment of all mankind no matter what part of the world you are from. I believe that we are all free and that eventually all nations will unite in some distant future. We need the person who can set us on this path and that is Barack Obama. Yes We Can!

I know alot of the older democratic voters are unsure about Senator Obama because of his lack of experience so here are some good MoveOn ads that demonstrate why that logic is irrelevant:

That video and the point you make are both great. I don’t even know how much thought is put into the experience factor. It seems like people just cry “lack of experience” yet fail to realize that some of our best presidents did not have this coveted experience. There are certainly more important aspects.

I’m crying here, Crian! I can’t for the life of me understand why anyone would support Obama. I see him completely different than you do. I guess differences in opinion is what makes the world go around. I’m very happy that you and I can have such different political views and still get along. I wish all people knew how to overcome their differences and still remain civil to one another. It would surely be a far better world, wouldn’t it?

The Obama video I’m putting up today isn’t quite so flattering, so you’ve been warned in advance. LOL!

    Have a great day. :)

Differences in opinions does make the world go around and I truly appreciate the fact that you and I can get along pretty well despite the fact that we may be on the far opposite ends of the political spectrum for some issues.

I honestly wish that some of the other people that read this blog would demonstrate the same respect that you show me and I show you. I guess you can only hope.
