Less Than A Month To Go
Well its less than a month to go until the next President of the United States is elected, and I cannot wait until the result is announced. Even here in South Korea amongst the few foreigners in my area, we have a good mix of Independents, Republicans and Democrats. Keeping an eye on the polls these last few days…I walked up to my Republican friend and issued the following statement:
I can’t wait until Senator Obama wins the election…
I must admit, that statement is a fair bit arrogant but I was feeling pretty good given that the current economic situation heavily favors Senator Obama. Today I spoke to my older brother who works within the London financial sector, he told me the scariest aspect of the next few months as far as the global economy is concerned is that we are heading into the realm of theoretical economics.
What this means is that no one knows what is going to happen next, not Bernanke or any other egghead employed by any company in the world. This lack of knowledge heavily favors Senator Obama despite him knowing about as much about the situation as anyone else. The problem is that Senator McCain knows he would lose an Obama/McCain economic fight therefore he is stirring up all this trouble with regards to Senator Obama and terrorism.
This strategy is disgusting if not despicable and I cannot wait until Senator McCain gets what he deserves. Therefore at this juncture, I will call the election as a slim victory for Senator Obama and Senator Biden.

If I had to bet right now, I’d say Obama wins narrowly in the popular vote, broadly in the electoral vote. But things can change quickly.
And RDB–c’mon, you can do better than this. McCain links Obama to Rezko–racist! McCain links Obama to Jim Johnson (white) and Franklin Raines (black)–racist! McCain links Obama to Ayres and Dohrn–racist! McCain points out Obama’s inexperience–racist! McCain defends Obama as a decent guy–racist!

I “stumbled” across your blog, and it’s very well done! I’m not an expat, but my husband and I often think we need to be. What bothers me about America, is that so many people lack a global perspective. I’ve been fortunate to travel often, and it amazes me how much other countries despise America. Well, actually. . . It doesn’t amaze me that much. The world definitely wants Obama to be elected! I think the world is still getting over the fact that we reelected Bush! Hey Guys it is good to be back, apologies for being out for so long, I have just comes to terms with my work schedule which has left me with about one day a week to blog, they do work way too hard over here.

Hey Gordon, I never thought I would see you consider the possibility of defeat but you are quite right that things can change, I really think McCain needs to focus more on the issues because as much as I hate to admit it, conservatives do have some solid ideas when it comes to social issues,

RR, Asian life is way too hectic but I have learned to keep it under control somewhat. I am hoping to gain more control in the coming weeks so that I have more time to write here and focus on other writing.
